This first popped up earlier today on Kevin Pereira's Twitch show "Frontpage" - when it was discovered (and later confirmed) that Alison is INDEED in the new trailer for Far Cry 5!

Alison later posted this on Twitter:

Wow...she kinda looks familiar...and she definitely sounds familiar...OMG THAT'S CAUSE IT'S ME!!! @Ubisoft #FarCry5 https://youtu.be/8pFHPq84iB0

Based on the scuttlebutt in the chat channel for Frontpage - this is possibly one of three trailers that they're putting out for main/supporting characters from the new Far Cry game... and while Alison could not go into ANY details whatsoever over the phone due to None Disclosure Agreements, etc. - signs point to her playing a significant role within the game.

That being said, I'm sure we'll find out more as time progresses - the game is set for release in Feb of 2018!  Grin

Sooooooo.... been almost a year, but the game was finally released.

For those folks that haven't heard by now (people have been asking about it on Reddit/Twitter/etc.) - the company went with another actress for the Mary May performance/body in the actual game, her performance as Mary May was limited to the character trailer that was released back in June 2017, along with some images of the character used on the game's website.

Personally, by now I've seen some gameplay on Youtube with the "new" Mary May, and IMO - the company lost out, big. Alison's performance was better... based on what I'm seeing, they may have decided to go with someone who could portray the character as being a bit more mature (age-wise in look/tone/etc), or possibly sounding more backwoodsy-ish? It's a bit of a befuddlement folks - I'm looking at the gameplay and that's what I'm getting from what I'm seeing. But that's ME.... so... yeah, all my own opinion/take on the matter.

Anyway, Alison tweeted this out today in response to the release (and possibly also folks asking her about it):

Far Cry 5 is finally here! And I'm thrilled I got to step into the shoes of Mary May to shoot this incredibly rad trailer for the game. #FarCry5#MaryMay https://youtu.be/8pFHPq84iB0

So Alison is pretty upbeat about it, and that's really what matters! Like I said - personally, I think they lost out with not casting her in the role for the gameplay, but hey - that's my own take on it.
